Roland stroked his chin thoughtfully. It had finally arrived from the modelmaker's, resplendent in glistening faux leopard fur, with all 104 keys picked out on the spots on the fur.
He fitted the strap around his head, looping it over his ears then threading the USB cable to his PDA.
It would
take a little while to familiarise himself with the key placement but it could be made to work eventually. The keys were soft to the touch, just slightly raised rings embedded in the substrate where the fingertips could depress the surface to make the necessary contacts between the conductive contacts in the "beard".
Slowly, Roland began to realise the next idea, working out where a hole could be placed in the Keybeard to make a hanging loop for a Keymerkin. Keys F10 - 12, Scroll Lock and Pause / Break were looking vulnerable.

Later that day, Roland scratched an itch and wiped out a day's worth of work. |

save him. He reached for his

I like. However, i have to impose my perennial obsession with chord keyboards on this too. |

I particularly like the idea of some sage user stroking his beard deep in thought to input his profound cogitations. |

Funny. Your keybeard has no inconspicuous bluetooth technology. |

A few strands of beard hair are slightly different from the rest, hanging in an elegant spiral curl - that's the Scroll Lock. |

I avoided Bluetooth technology because it seemed to have already been done to death. |

I'm a little disappointed by the operational mechanism - not nearly half-baked enough. Given that it's a beard, the keys should be depressed by pulling on different hairs (or plaits, at least). Maybe tie actual rings on the hair for your fingers to go through and get the different letter by chording, one-handed keyboard style. |

You don't think a faux leopard skin beard would be suitably funky and idiotic in appearance? |
