Since ISP's are not going to be turning a blind eye any more, might be a good idea to set up an mp3 shop purely for the french market that offers big discounts.
For the first month, the discount could be as high
as 30% to help people give up their bad ways. After a while, the discount could be reviewed based on how much less the general populace is depriving the music companies of.
Maybe the record companies would want to trial a new pricing model for music in France ? Say 1 euro for an album. It might just snowball.
