Step right up, folks!

A travelling show, devoted to the study of the Liver Fluke (Clonorchis sinensis) and its differences from the other species, particularly Fasciola hepatica.

People will be amazed and revulsed, interested and repelled.

Of course, there are heaps of other interesting critters that no-one knows about.

I use these as a screensaver to deter thieves [xenzag, Feb 12 2006]

Many, many years ago there was a song with a line "Yummy, yummy, yummy, I've got love in my tummy". A friend and I substituted the words "Shiver, shiver, shiver, I've got flukes in my liver." We thought it was funny, but we were nine years old. Your show might work. +

       "Next week, parasitic wasps!"
hippo, Feb 12 2006

No. Next week is Fig Wasps.
UnaBubba, Feb 12 2006

and the week after are naked mole rats... I call the people who inhabit the basement floor of the building where I work after these dirt munchers. Unfortunately for them, the name has caught on and they are stuck with it.

We'll be doing the reproductive habits of Leopard Slugs after that.

If you've seen "Life In The Undergrowth" then you'll know why.

mmmmmm.. Leopard Slug porn. I wonderered how that got a 'G" rating [UB]
ConsulFlaminicus, Feb 13 2006

I had no idea that the entwined genitalia of two slugs could be so beautiful. I did find the images fascinating, and disturbingly close to arousing...

a spider that fancies a slug....... hmmmm interesting - I'd be careful around lettuce leaves if I were you
xenzag, Feb 13 2006

Ah yes, the Leopard Slug sex scene - you can't make stuff like that up (at least, not without it sounding like terrible sci-fi porn "...suspended on a ribbon of mucus, their bodies wrapped around each other, their penises start to intertwine...").

[UB] when this is shown in Australia, do you still get the breathy David Attenborough voivceover?
hippo, Feb 13 2006

Yes. I noticed he is getting a bit old and rickety. It will be sad when he's gone. His voice is synonymous with animal documentaries, for mine.
UnaBubba, Feb 13 2006

He came to our school and told us how wonderful it is (we have wallabies). But he never mentioned these. I wonder why?
dbmag9, Feb 13 2006

It's a demarcation thing [dbmag9], the Scoutmasters' Guild have got the rights for talking sex to schoolboys.
ConsulFlaminicus, Feb 13 2006

Except in Catholic schools, one presumes?
