//Need some tips//
"Sinbad the Sailor" in the 5:40 at Doncaster. |
|
| |
A slow motion laser show with cutting laser is not an invention, and the fact that you would litter HB with this is just what we would expect from you by now. While there are many problems with the idea, we feel it will cause more net damage to you if we just let you go ahead with your plan, rather than try to talk you out of it. |
|
| |
It's gonna work just fine. |
|
| |
The laser will be unwieldy and big. It might be considered a
weapon. You might have to abandon it while making your
escape. Consider that flammable paint is not an
impossibility, and paint modified to be flammable (for
example, because it contains gunpowder) would not
necessarily be obvious or suspicious were it found in your car
or home. |
|
| |
I am inspired by a Scrooge McDuck comic book I read when in
preschool. The Beagle Boys had some black paint which they
used to paint over something that was already black. Later
they detonated the paint and entered through the hole,
which itself was not obvious because it too was black. |

Using leet hacking skills (z), simply commandeer control of
any available Ronald Reagan's star wars defence initiative
death-ray hardware - typically, the MIRACL unit or NPB
accelerator. You'd be MAD not to. |
|
| |
Use visible light, not IR, for safety's sake! IR won't trigger a blink reflex until after eye damage (partial blindness) has occured. |

I don't understand this anno. Are you actually saying that for the keywords "stepper motor", Google returns dick? I got 865000 hits, and "IR safety" just under 3000. |
|
| |
Maybe Google is broken where you are. |
|
| |
[fishboner], I'm not sure what tips would be useful to you. If you want advice, I'd suggest posting more info, such as: 1. what relevant experience you have 2. what tentative design you have in mind 3. what hardware you already have lying around 4. what specific questions you have about how to put together 1 and 3 to accomplish 2. |
|
| |
If you don't have specific questions yet, I recommend you use Google. Good luck! |

Let's take this one step at a time: |

I really don't now what you are having a problem with. This is done. It is widely known to exist. There are several DIY hacks. |
|
| |
Maybe your problem is you want to engrave things at a severe distance. Maybe you want to engrave things that don't ablate at the temperatures you are delivering to the surface. Maybe you are trying to engrave something through something else. |

I don't give a rat's arse. All I can say is delete this fucking idea, Stepper motors (even in 3d) baked WKTE. Burning IR lasers WKTE. The merger of the two WKTE. [marked-for-deletion] WKTE. |
|
| |
[marked-for-deletion] Not an invention. |
|
| |
Please, moderators, put this one out of my misery. |
|

//promise to delete [ptd]//Let's see some deleting now... |
|
| |
Careful, fellow Bakers, he might delete your MFDs. God knows how
many of my annotations this fucker's deleted. |
|
| |
god knows how many of your ideas I have tried to delete [21...] from my mind.:) Sorry you could not make it to the gloop on time, [nine...] was upset.
Better luck next time. |
|
| |
the idea is from [fishboner] and the disparaging comment (number 4) is by [fishboner] too. What is this (apart from not being an idea)? |

It's true! And some fancy ones. But don't check while at work. |
