This is basically just a basketball with a trigger inside of it which transmits a wireless signal to a reciever, which plugs into your MIDI bus. Every time the ball hits the ground when you dribble you get a trigger. Patch it into a drum machine or something for some cool noises while you play. The transmitter
is powered by the motion of the ball, converted into a slight electric potential (like a pedometer).
There is also a standalone receiver version with built-in sounds and a speaker, for those without a portable MIDI rig. [link]

One vote for the original sounds from Pong, or Atari 2600 basketball. |

Good possibilities for toilet type humour noises +. Can we have a MIDI soccer/rugby/cricket ball too ? Oh and a puck of course. |

For extra complexity, more of these motion-triggerred-MIDI devices inside of the shoes of the players. |
