The patrons were all ready for a show. The previous acts had been good enough, but this was a tough and discerning crowd.

Karla pirouetted across the floor and took to the pole with a vengeance. A series of gymnastic manouevres of unsurpassed skill drew gasps from the mainly male crowd. They wanted more and they wanted it now. Roland waited patiently, knowing what was to come.

Finally, Karla had worked the crowd for all it was worth.

She stripped off the one-piece costume, only to have it reappear on her slim form, with the decorative edge having switched sides. The crowd hooted with excitement, banging on the bar and making a din.

Roland grinned expansively. It wasn't every day there was a mathematics professors' convention in town.

Annotation:

I had forgotten [tc]'s idea. Thanks.

[Unabubba]Funny, everyone else who bunned this [myself included] were to embarrased to admit they like this sort of thing

Oh and, next week she'll be dancing with a lissajou snake.

It's not exactly PC, but I couldn't resist the image. Roland is a grub, but Tony Soprano now has a challenger.

       a) the pole should obviously be a Klein bottle (assuming it's hollow like most brass poles).
b) this is just like the sleek little gens in Terry Bisson's "Pirates of the Universe," forever taking off their sleek little black underwear, only to reveal more sleek little black underwear.

[DrC] Ohhh, that's sexy in a number of dimensions at the same time...
