It's a boy thing, but can you imagine barrelling along at 70 mph above gridlocked traffic in an all-weather rollercoaster, doing the occasional gratuitous loop?
Going to work would be a fun thing. Everyone would arrive cheery and excited !!!!! (Except those who suffer motion sickness) Urban Ski-lift Mass-transit

Poor hippo missed out on her dibs. Well, let me be the first to actually congratulate UnaBubba on such a marvel of e=mc2 put to good use. Having ridden many a bombastic roller coaster in my misspent youth first thing in the morning, I can fully appreciate it's eye-opening adrenalin rushing qualities. Just as signs proclaim 'No Food or Drink' and what-not at amusement parks roller coasters, same can be done here with addendums for papers, headsets, etc.. Ninnies need not apply. Buckle Up and scream all the way to and from work (SNAFU). |

What a brilliant idea!

Yes hippo, check your link...I posted a followup to your mention of something along this lines prior to MetroCoaster publish... |

Rods, that's a possibility on any train in the UK at the moment, isn't it? |

No, I meant why "her"? It doesn't matter really. |

All apologies Mr. Hippo, hippos look alike to me. |

Just for you, [thumbwax] I tried to find a link on determining the sex of hippopotami (pedant alert) but I couldn't find anything. It must be the only thing that's not yet on the Internet. |

The Millenium Line of the Skytrain in Vancouver has something like this. Some obstructions (most applicable here, a frequently blocked highway) were on the route, so lots of dips and dos needed to be introduced. You also get an amazing view. |

Best valued rollercoaster on the planet. |

Not a problem. Think Coaster-Rail or C-Rail. Or by another name Lite-Light Rail. Pre-manufactured and assembled during the day, erection at night (sorry), little foundation work needed. Placement on existing freeway medians or "Jersey walls" with two tracks - to the city, to the suburbs. Works over/under the highest bridges (Think conventional cell tower height). Stations at the malls, or major shopping districts - where there is lots of parking during the day. No dips, spins or loops; and can turn 90 degrees within a width of a city block. A ride available like the Moscow bus system - every 10 minutes.
Call the President. Never mind, his VP works for the Oil companies. |

[Hippo]: a short investigation has turned up the fact the the male hippo may have the largest penis of any land animal. [thumbwax] should have noticed something.
|
