The makers of automatic carwashes usually have about four different programs for the carwash to go through. The economy wash just washes and rinses. The plus wash washes, rinses, and waxes. The super wash does the undercarriage, washes, rinses, waxes, and blow-dries. The deluxe washes twice, undercarriage,
rinses twice, wax, blow dry, the works. I know some people who want their car clean, but they don't want that wax on it. Some people would rather have their car blow dried with a cheap wash instead of going down the road and picking up dirt.
The mix and match car wash would be comprised of a touch screen device that allows the user to pick what cycles they want in their wash. The price would be according to what cycles were chosen. A list of possibly cycles with a price next to each one would be displayed and the user would put them in a queue that showed what they wanted. For instance, a person could have two wash cycles, then decide to rinse, and have another wash. There would be an algorithm that puts things in the proper order when they have to be (a rinse must be after all washes, a blow dry can't be before the car exits). Using this method, the customer can decide exactly what they want in their carwash, and be more satisfied since they are only paying for the features they want. [link]
