Mobster Lottery
Before you say baked, just hang on a second.

If your lucky numbers come up in this lottery you get the Soprano crew for a whole year. They'll avenge any perceived wrongs; drill holes in the kneecaps of your annoying neighbours; handfeed to the owner of the dog the droppings which the inconsiderate cretin allowed his dog to leave on your front lawn; bribe the local cop to get you off your latest speeding fines; take your garbage away even when the collectors are on strike... Since this is state-sanctioned there is no real crime committed in the eyes of the law, it's just gangster activity with the usual blind eye turned.

Crime or not, there'll be no prosecution. A recent shooting at a London club is unsolved because 153 potential witnesses were apparently in the toilet at the time.

Bugger, so it *is* baked then?

UnaBubba, Jun 15 2001

       "Pub"?

I think this means jutta is out for a drink.

<added moments later> oh, and I do like this idea. Croissant! ....for personal reasons.....

       "lobster lottery." Your move.

Having been to a mob funeral, I can attest that there was more 'family' than family present.

Hey Waugsqueke, you changed two letters in one move! Don't you know this website's rules? Geez...

       Waug has seniority

       Waugster's Dottery.

BTW jutta, only the name is a pun. I rather like the idea. The name came about because of the thought association of Monster Lottery. And this idea is a lot more readily bakeable.

UnaBubba, Jun 17 2001

I think it's completely bogus, but you're free to disagree. [mfd withdrawn.]

If I'm supposed to take this at face value, don't we have enough ideas that go on at great length about how to commit violence? What's new about this one, other than the pun? I just see this as yet another little fantasy about becoming more powerful with unsupportable social constructs.

Oh all right then. It just seemed like a halfbaked idea to me. Now that your philosophical dissection of the idea has pared it down to its minimalist roots I guess it's [m-f-d] again.

We could remove most 1/2B content for the same reason.

UnaBubba, Jun 18 2001

I feel unsafe just talking about it. ***knock, knock***

       I gotta go

demtangs, Apr 24 2003

All in all, it was a pretty wierd lottery.
