Are Squids really modern?
I assumed, like most things in the sea, they'd been around
since Dinosaur times. |

Squid and octopi are ancient in their form and so on - but to use them as projectiles is a recent innovation. |

Back when octopuses were employed in menial labour
for getting things out of small spaces and general
octocatburglary, it wasn't uncommon to discipline an
octopus or squid by having to fire them. |
