Y'know the kind of thing,

bullets with little Santas etched onto them

landmines with holly

claymores with "Thinking of you" messages

tanks firing shaped charge Xmas puddings

cluster bombs containing mince pies with extra-hard pastry

razor wire with with fairy lights and little reindeer shapes

substituting brandy butter for napalm..

planes ejecting tinsel to act as chaff..

and so on...

Just cos it's war doesn't mean it can't be festive.

And in the high ranking military officer category as well -

Soldiers going from house to house, executing the first-born male child of every family, would fit in well with the accepted historical narrative.

probably possible to use two Chinooks to pull apart huge Christmas cracker over the enemy positions, showering a deluge of phosphorous Xmas stars..how they twinkle!

Hey, it's the festive season, not the boning season

       More Christmasy than what?

Huge Meka Santas stride across the battlefield, while Bell Huey Cobras play Jingle Bells...Meka Santa knows who's been good or bad, and distributes presents.... appropriately.

As for Rudolf, we will not speak of it.

More Xmassy than just shooting each other?

Could lead to a new twist on Christmas Carols …

"O little town of Bethlehem, how still you seem to lie,
Above thy dark and curfew'd streets, surveillance drones cruise by,
Yet in the darknes shineth the glow of infra- red,
The IDF have snipers out, to shoot insurgents dead …"

… and other such cheerful ditties.

fine, you can thank 8th for the deboning.

Precision-guided mayhem, that's their calling card.
