Incidentally, why isn't "spacecraft" another word for "interior design"?

Multiple TV synching

A device that witholds signals from CRTs to synch the TVs in your house

If you own fancy plasma or various other TVs, and yet also have old fashioned TVs in other parts of the house, and both are on reasonably high volume, there is an exceedingly annoying difference in delay that makes it irritating to listen to either.

So my proposal is a device that goes at the junction of your TV signals, and is either programmable or automatically figures out the delay inherent to all of your different TV sets. Then, it takes the longest delay TV you have, and witholds signals from all other TVs until they are synchronized with that one.

what about the delay due to the sound travelling from the distant TV to your ears. I suggest making the delay user-adjustable.

Is that really noticeable? I'm talking about like a 2 second delay that I notice sometimes.

If the small difference is noticeable, then whichever way you adjust it, manually or otherwise, it only helps one side of the house, and the other side is still annoying, which would make this whole idea not work really.

But I'm not convinced that that is for sure a problem.

We solved that problem in my house by putting all the decoders upstream of the splitter. Our two satellite receivers and DVD player sit upstream of a signal distribution device that sends a simultaneous analog signal to all television jacks in the house. It also allows us to watch the same DVD (or recorded program) from several rooms in the house.

Well one satellite receiver can do two channels and the other can do one. And there are only two of us in the house.
