An application that scans your MP3 files and starting with the lowest bitrate files, goes out through Napster (et-al) and looks for higher/highest bitrate versions of the same songs and automatically replaces your ones.
It would need to confirm with you in case one was a high bitrate encoding of
a poor/copied original.

An additional feature of this
would be to find truncated or
incomplete tracks in your
collection and try to find better
copies. Maybe also detect noise
and try to find less noisy versions. |
