My Dream Home
"Just a couple more hours, OK?"

An entire home, with padded walls, mattressed floors, rugs, pillows and soft throw rugs to promote blissful sleep.

Soft music caresses the mind and soul... gentle drifts of aromatherapy, to promote your best possible dreams.

Sophisticated electronics record your brainwaves so you can, perhaps, recall your dreams later.

Just lay back and ressssst...

wouldn't just one padded room suffice?

Nah, that would be a dream room, wounnit?

You've got Ideas on how to subdivide, eh? For the rest of us.

Padded walls, mattress floors, soft music, and brainwave recorders...

Will there be some nice young men in clean white suits ready to help you dress in tight fitting jackets with lots of buckles too?

I think I saw this done in a movie once... Can I wear my aluminum foil hat if I come over to visit? I just don't trust those brain wave recorders.

The acoustic properties of all that padding are going to make the soft (presumably elevator) music sound even more insipid. Can't be inspirational to interesting dreams, just sounds a bit too dull to be fun, and makes me crave the smell of hot tarmac and the sound of Slayer...

We have a room without music just for you, [Azazello].

I think my house is like this. I'm not really sure though. I've only ever seen this one room.

Has anyone tried using biofeedback devices to recall memories? i.e. Converting brainwaves into sounds, and listened to live by the brainwave-ee as they go about their daily lives. Then have them played back later, to see if the 'music' of their mind can help recall certain events - or as UB suggests, dreams?

Which is pretty much the purpose of this idea... to enable us to harness our dreams and their content.

Ahhh! I was thinking it was just a nice comfy place to chill out! - in that case, I'm changing my bun to a bone then! ;)

Ceiling oscillates; floor undulates; walls vibrate; floors and walls dissolve into warmth, placenta like, then fade away, liquid atmosphere falls from the ceiling then turns gaseous; inhale deeply; brain full and calm; take your time, relax, sleep.
