Teflon-coated turtle, with *very* broad tastes.
Slow enough that you'll get to finish your meal before it walks away, a turtle coated with teflon is the ultimate in flatware. The food slides right off, giving dear old Tommy something to eat for his trouble.
Great dinnertime conversation starter.
Keep your turtle out of your mouth. And remember to wash your hands

I don't know about the Australian ones, but Red Eared Sliders move pretty darn slick. And a Snapping Turtle will take your fingers off. Besides salmonella, Hepatitis B is also a serious risk. |

However, turtles make pretty decent eating (which is why they sell all those baby turtles in Chinatown), so just flip the thing on its back and put it on the barbecue. (Just make sure it's hot enough to kill all the germs.) |

You simply sit the food on its back whilst eating. If it slides off and the turtle gets it then that's your bad luck. |

Most turtle shells are convex, making them less than optimally efficient eating surfaces. Would the next logical step after this be to breed turtles with flat, or even concave, shells? And how would such modifications affect the poor terapins' spines? |
