A lot of people have an old mobile which works fine as a phone, but since they don't have a 900Mpx camera, gps, bluetooth, rfid and blu-ray, nowadays they are considered completely useless.

So, what could we do with these things?

My idea is to create a GSM base station that covers a small range, let's say, the range of a house. The base station will be connected to a landline, and all calls will happen trough it. So basically, this GSM station will work as those stations of cordless phones.

I would guess that a regular landline cordless costs much, much less.
