Piezoelectric plates are placed under a waterfall, generating electricity without destroying the beauty.

Description (displayed with the short name and URL.)

Sounds like it would be expensive, underpowered, and difficult to maintain. + For keeping with the spirit of environmentalism!

I don't think DesertFox intention here is "environmentalism" but rather of beauty. There's nothing "environmental" about simply hiding the piezo. I am assuming, the piezos are placed directly on the riverbed.

Riverbed is an ecosystem too, you know.
