Floating Rocks, man!

Duckies, turtles, whales, fish or anything you want really, carved out of pumice stone.

They look cute and float in your bath just like real rubber duckies but with the added advantage of being able to be used to exfoliate your feet or any other patches of rough skin.

They may be prone to toppling over, also like real rubber duckies so a small weight could be affixed to the base to stop this. They can also be made in various colours.

Pumice tropical island complete with lost at sea play kit.

Yeah [skinflaps]. I like that. Could make a floating island with a palm tree like those inflatables that everyone seems to have.

[po], that was a great laugh! har har. : )

I am for the idea. Can't believe it's not baked. Good clean fun. +

But pumice gets waterlogged and sinks...

       <person on pumice island> Ahh! The island's sinking <person on pumice island>

But will the pumice rubber ducky [squeak]?

Worldgineer, Oct 31 2003

Sadly no [WE]. I couldn't work that one out.

[my-nep] Pumice sinks if it get's waterlogged (takes a *very* long time) but can be un-sunk by the simple expedient of letting it dry. Not a serious problem, really.

//But pumice gets waterlogged and sinks//

Takes a while. We get tons of it, washed up on the beaches after undersea eruptions out in the Pacific, here.

I keep thinking of all those rubber duck races!
