Reality TV : The Series

You just know this stuff goes on!

A reality TV series about the dirty little secrets behind and inside "reality" TV... warts and all.

How they pick the contestants; how they prime them for their performances; the grubby deals that are done to ensure the winner is the one most likely to sell their tiny, shrivelled soul to the network for promotional services afterwards; who does what for whom, to whom, with whom, when, why, how and with what... ad nauseam until it is totally demystified and people simply stop watching it, en masse.

Everything you never needed to know and couldn't be bothered to ask about the whole farcical shitfight.

Another take on the genre - Day 4 in the Big Brother house, and the inevitable zombie apocalypse happens...Charlie Brooker's Reality TV/Zombie Horror show is quite likely to disturb more than it informs - but I think it might be a winner (first episode airs next week sometime in the UK) [zen_tom, Oct 22 2008]

       ....raaaaaaghhhh!

Actually, this sounds more like a documentary, which is perfectly fine with me. Turning it into a "Reality" TV show, with "proper" contestants, and (presumably) a prize would be a hard ask. I'd be interested if the whole thing were undertaken as a piece of investigative journalism, along with under-cover reporters, hidden cameras and all the robust doorstepping of those responsible that usually goes along with the format.
