Yes, it would be done to music.

Sensors in the gloves would tell the computer if you were on beat with the song or off beat with your punches. Boxers would hit their opponents in sync to a song being played in the arena.

       So, the strategy here is to beat your opponent to a pulp out of time in the first round, not bothering with timing, and then tap them as much as you want with the beat later on when they're delirious.   

       Why are the points loose? Didn't you bother to tighten them before you closed the distributor cap?
