Cats just love to bat stuff around or pat it repeatedly to see if its alive. Leaving a mouse unattended is dangerous. Cats are prone to sit on the desk and baff* the right click button, prematurely wearing it out.

The product is a small stick-on device that uses breath sensing technology to sound a warning piezo.

There is also a left-click version for the other side of the mouse.

* Can also detect heavy breathing with intent.

Sounds like a mouse version of Pawsense http://www.bitboost.com/pawsense/
I found this simply because I know such software exists. [Aristotle, Nov 07 2009]

[Aristotle] seen that before, great stuff. Won't work if the computer is off.

So what happens if the stick-on runs out of battery? Wouldn't it be off too?
Aristotle, Nov 07 2009

Well obviously it has an annoying short beep sound to warn you its about to run out of battery. Like smoke detectors, this is also timed to start at 2am.
