Roomba of Doom

Cleans up grime, cleans up crime!

By day, it is a lowly vacuum, its shell a cheery red, sucking up dirt and unwanted filth. By night, in the darkness that is, it is the Roomba of Doom, a cold-hearted black, low-slung, sleek machine of doom, sucking up dirt and zapping unwanted filth (sp: intruders).

Because Roombas wander around the house when vacuuming, have them store the layout of permanent objects in a matrix data set, and add one of those battery-powered shock-prod defense tasers. Then, at night, have it seek out movement found via IR cameras, placed around the house, that track anybody who breaks in.

Or anyone getting a midnight snack in direct contravention of doctor's recommendations.

good thing cats can run faster than the roomba. What happens of you have to visit the mens room during the night?

It doesn't track you, it tracks bodies entering the house via IR cameras. The cameras are connected to a computer and track the illegal body through 3D space, and wont mistake you for somebody else, unless you run up and hug them.

Or you could enter a temporary shut-off code into one of the security panels.

Can it have a shark fin on top, and a speaker that plays 'Jaws?'

       If you want it to.

[jhomrighaus] You have a men's room in your house? ... thinks ... Is that the one with the dart board in it?
