Rotar Lenses
Push the button "n" times and the polarized lenses will slowly rotate that many times. | |
Push the button "n" times and the polarized lenses on your sunglasses will slowly rotate that many times. Why, you ask!?
It would be cool to push a button on your sunglasses and to look at various polarized surfaces that are going “light-dark-light-dark-light-…” or to look at various bi-fringent
surfaces that are going “red-green-red-green-red-…” so that you can notice these kinds of surfaces (lcd screens, oil puddles, plastic stress patterns, other people's polarized lenses, etc) more easily without actually having to take your sunglasses off and turn them manually with your hands.

I look out for people waggling their heads from side to side (like an Indian head waggle-nod) - it's normally enough to pick up on interesting surfaces. |

Also, have you ever noticed that, from a plane, lakes and small water features will appear greenish in one lens, and reddish in the other? The effect is reminiscent of 3D glasses. I guess it must have something to do with the relatively small wave forms on their surfaces. |

Rippling water waves tend to reflect photons out in all different trajectories and polarities, so you would most likely notice something like that looking out of airplane windows. |
