This big skateboard has a small electric motor. It uses this to keep pace with it's owner, like a small dog. Once the owner is running as fast as they can, they step/leap onto the board. At this point the RoverBoard becomes a normal skateboard (the motor is switched off).
This allows the 'owner' to
run, which is clearly faster than scooting. [link]

Is it on a leash? It should be tracking/pacing the runner like a good dog. This board needs to follow closely (to the side of the runner?), but stop if necessary. Perhaps have a sensor that applies the brakes if it gets too far away. You don't want to chase a wayward RoverBoard. |

No Leash. Just clever sensors, a computer brain, and a wireless bracelet that the board can track. |

I like the concept. But the method wasn't in the idea, although any reasonable crackpot could work up something. The method in the annotation, I don't like. |

when you turn it on, and which turns off
when you get on the board. Let the user
track the board, not vice versa. |
