Sacrificial stepped pyramids for boats

Like human sacrifice for boats, but with zinc

Whilst wondering about flying boats, I was wondering if it might be possible to jazz up the old sacrificial anode bit...

I was thinking for passenger ships a large on-deck step-pyramid with plastic victim on top, once a day the steward can dress up as an Aztec priest and ceremonially whip out the old heart-shaped sacrificial anode with lots of tomato ketchup (puts in a new one with the other hand).

For more modest vessels, just a little plastic step-pyramid with a small victim and a fixed heart-shaped sacrificial anode that cane be swapped out monthly.

I was pondering a small Stonehenge version for boats in UK waters, but the total lack of sunlight would make it awkward.

Aha, a post that's so dull that no one else is reading it.

       Alone at last!!!

I can say anything and no one will ever know...

       <sound of mad laughter>

the Borg smells of elderberries, beanangel actually is Bill Gate's benevolent twin brother, trying to do good, but his word's fatally mangled by evil brother's software </soml> etc etc

Dammit! How did you get in here?

True, what you do is attach two cables to the zinc, one zinc one goes into the seawater and one goes to the hull. If that doesn't work, then leave the zinc on the outside of the hull and only drag it aboard for the sacrificial ceremony.

<starts changing the locks on this post, and nailing wood over the door....dammit, hit my thumb>

       LOL.

Make me laugh, get a bun. [+] That's the way we do things out here in Arkansas.

(I'm trying to throw off all the stalkers I've generated from my "Incredibly Strange..." post.)

       Slant drilling eh?
doctorremulac3, Sep 07 2012

Just call it ... prospecting. After the success of the previous heat well, which is yielding commercially valuable quantities of energy, we decided to do some more exploratory drilling.

Looks like we struck out here, though. Cap it and move on ...

Using the stepping to aid fluid dynamics wouldn't go a miss. Shark skin and all that.

And here I thought you were going to haul the boat up the stepped pyramid, and sacrifice it.
