I had an idea that, if a feature of a mouse was the ability to scan a number and/or a word, which are needed to fill in info. boxes on a computer screen; then with a click, the box would be filled in. Is that too far out ? There would have to be a see-through window, or target, on the mouse to position it properly before scanning & clicking. I'm talking about the required data being somewhere else than on the screen, like on an invoice or other paper document. Ron.

the first word? the *very* first word? ever? in the history of man? i'm not even sure what that was, but i do know how to spell surely, i merely chose an alternate. it is one of those overused HB ploys. dates back there to viola and custard.
