The Scoopy Doo Doo swerved at the last moment, just missing Roland's outstretched foot.
"Damn!", thought Roland, "I've never once managed to trip one of those things."
As he watched, it veered to the right and scooped up a mound of dogfruit that could only have exited a Great Dane, and recently,
by the look of it.
It slipped a Teflon-coated spatula under the offending pile, then squirted a small pool of disinfectant and water on the spot, a rotary brush swirling the last vestiges away, before moving on. The emulsifying unit inside was blending the water, soap and dog turds to a fine slurry. Pasteurisation killed off any parasites and pathogens,
The machine turned the corner and headed across the lawn, to bury a probe into a garden bed. Once the probe was in a powerful pump injected the nutrient rich fertiliser into the topsoil, bringing new life and hope to the plants there.
Roland sighed, wishing he'd invented the things. They were everywhere, these days.

I'm guessing that if you managed to trip one, you'd wish you hadn't. |

Roland ain't that bright. |

Uurrkk! At least I used a robot. |
|
| |
Ah, there it is. The place just wasn't complete without one. |

Is doggy doo nutrient rich? I'd been lead to believe otherwise. |

"Sorry to hear that, Ma'am. Your neighbour said, "He's always been full of shit, so it didn't surprise me". Do you have any sort of running conflict with your neighbours, that we should know about?" |

There's currently in development a robot called the Sluggy-Bot that kills slugs, "digests" them, and uses the resulting chemicals to power itself. Wonder if you could do a similar thing with these. I'll see if I can find a link... |

Step away from the scoopy snack. |

Then of course you have the cheaper Scooby-Dum variety which just zooms over to the offending pile, pulls out a magnifying glass, and says "Hmm... a CLUE! Dum dum Dum DUM!" |
