Selective Blinders

 glasses that obscure and admit light selectively

These could be worn with the virtual headphones.

They could be hooked up to sensors so that laght can be securely admitted or obscured according to either user- generated choice or artificial intelligence.

The combination of blinders and headphones worn together would allow for productive conversation in crowded bar rooms for instance.
