Bust your guests

That’s right! Put a device in the drain that senses a significant flow if urine. This would be attached to a flashing red light, siren and speaker in the overhead vent. You could record your own demeaning message to be played as the light flashed and the sirens screamed. Personally I don’t give a rat’s ass if someone pisses in the shower, but it would sure be funny to see the momentary look of mortification on a guest’s face.

Are you planning to be in the bathroom when it happens?

Uhhhh...OK, so when he or she first encounters me upon exiting the bathroom...which he or she might hesitate to do for awhile.

Add a fart alarm at the dinner table. Don't be tempted to sneak a shot off, and blame it on the dog.

[jscottpete], did someone recently mistake your shower for a toilet? I'm worried about you, man.

UnaBubba, Oct 13 2005

[jscottpete], with this idea and your other one concerning a shower in which one can defecate.

Do you actually own a toilet?

suppose your commode leaks while you are using it. will it be funny to look into the mirror to see the momentary look of mortification on your own face ?

I think this invention is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

jellydoughnut, Oct 13 2005

I think it's pretty obvious that **SOMEONE** has been pissing in [jsp]'s shower.

UnaBubba, Oct 13 2005

       /senses a significant flow if urine/

       Define significant.

as for practical use, this would be a good one at the Y, where you KNOW the guy who was there before you peed in the shower, you just have no proof.

totallyjawesome, Oct 14 2005

Is this the kind of thing you'd spend money on?

       No boasting here.

Fowl ideas are for the birds.

UnaBubba, Oct 16 2005

Are you indirectly calling me a bird-brain?
Or was it inadvertantly? :P

jscottpete, Oct 16 2005

I think it was a pun on [Pa`ve] calling this a fowl idea rather than a foul idea. Personally I think this is a fairly decent idea for public showers.

The only thing that I dont like about a urine sensor is that what if you have bladder control problems and you have an accident? You need to wash it off so that you do not smell like you belong in a nursing home. In the process of showering its very likely that there is enough urine going down the drain to set off the alarm.

I pee in the shower, so I wouldn't install one in my house.

Also, I heard a rumour that if you use a public shower without thongs (flip-flops) or sandals, you should pee first so you dont catch foot diseases. Not sure if its true, but I'd still pee in the shower if it wasn't.

       After all, its all pipes...
