Simulated Second Chance

For drug dealers...

Ok, this is a very simple idea... in a complex way, hehehe.

Convicted drug dealers are often given very long prison sentences, which means we the tax-payers are stuck paying for their captivity, as well as 3 square meals a day, until their sentence is up.

I have a better, and hopefully cheaper, solution: Give convicted drug dealers a "lethal" injection. Instead of killing them, you simply tranq them. When they wake up, they're in a dark room with puddles of urine and piles of excrement everywhere, as well as lots of flames. The voice of Jeremy Irons booms out "You will be given one last chance. If you fail again, you will remain here for all eternity, surrounded by all the marijuana you could ever desire, with nothing to light it."

Then they are tranq'ed again, and wake up naked in the desert, afraid to ever commit another unlawful act.

Jeremy Irons? That's good - I've got a few shirts at home that need their creases smoothed out.

This was done in a more positive way in MASH--with the Black Capsule.

Jeremy Irons is an actor famous for his sinister-sounding voice. He did the voice of Scar in the movie The Lion King and played the role of Protheon in the movie Dungeons & Dragons (the movie sucks as far as 'special' effects and plot, but the acting is quite good with an all-star cast). I believe he also appeared in The Man in the Iron Mask, he was one of the 3 Musketeers.

And, yes, the flames have gone out by that point :)

Why not just tranq them and leave them in the desert?
