Slab o' nutrition, food loaf diet plan

It's got all the nutrients you need and you can eat all you want. Bon appetite

I'm sure others have come up with single food diet plans before, where you would loose weight by only eating one single type of nutritionally balanced food loaf or something. But people would quit it very quickly unless implemented in this fashion: Before every meal, (of whatever you want) you eat as much "food loaf" as you can stomach. When your stomach is full, you can have as much cake, candy, bacon, deep-fried butter sticks, as you want.

Maybe while you were stuffing this crap down your throat (I know I'm not selling this very well) you could fantasize about the good stuff to come. If that's too gross, you could just take it in capsule form. It might take 10 to 15 minutes to take as many as you needed but you would definitely eat very little of the unhealthy stuff afterwards. Although it might be a task to swallow food capsules for 45 minutes a day, for some people it would beat actually getting off their asses and doing some exercise. And anything is better than wasting away due to obesity, heart disease, diabetes etc.

Except maybe having to eat food loaf every meal for the rest of your life.

If this were in the form of expanding foam pills, one could take one's medicine, and have it foam up in the stomach, triggering the 'full' response and disuading the dieter from eating further food items. [+]

It is possible to take in more nutrients than what is healthy. Iron and Calcium are common overdose minerals.

I really like [zen-tom]s idea of a foaming pill.

I gotta be honest. I'd just like to see a food product called "Slab o' nutrition" or "Food loaf". I wouldn't speculate whether you'd serve it with red or white wine, but a strong alchoholic beverage of some sort might be a good idea.

       [UB] What's that in stones?

doc, it would have to come with another product called 'Drink' or 'Liquid refreshment.' Maybe 'Nutrient suspension.' Shake well.

<digression>Oddly, the only time I have ever lost weight rapidly was when I wasn't trying to: I went through a phase of taking my daughter tree- climbing.

The climbing itself wasn't particularly strenuous, but I have this theory that, deep down in our primate metabolism, there's a regulator that recognises that a tree-dwelling animal cannot afford to carry excess weight. After all, our hairy old knuckle- dragging metabolism is what makes us prone to store away those extra calories as fat in the first place, so maybe we need to prompt it into dumping them.</digression>

Soterios has an interesting idea. "Another fine product from the good people at 'Feed' brand foods."

Please sir, may I have some more?
