I couldn't have proposed this idea if it hadn't happened to me. You know how sometimes when you open a pint container of ice cream, a thin layer sticks to the lid? If you lay the lid down on the counter for a while, the ice cream on it will melt and coagulate into spots wherever there is a slight indentation
in the lid, even if it's invisible to the naked eye. If you then re-cover the ice cream container and put it in the freezer, you may find, upon removal, that there is an image formed in the lid's layer of ice cream, corresponding to the tiny indentations in the plastic where the melted ice cream has pooled and become darker.
Well, last night I opened my leftover coffee-flavored ice cream and almost burst out laughing - there was a perfect smiley face on the inside of the lid! It was two eyes, formed by dark brown spots where there must have been creases in the lid, and a semicircular adorable smile too!
I couldn't believe it. This was a true vision. I'm an atheist, and to be honest, if it had been an image of Jesus or Mary I would have been less excited. But a smiley face was the perfect image to spiritually inspire me. Especially when associated with ice cream.
Ice cream is such a happy event that I think other consumers should be entitled to the same "revelation" as I had. Ice cream companies could build invisible dents into the lids, and the smiley face would appear for anyone who looks for it.
Of course, they should not tell their customers about the images; the consumers (or their children) should discover them for themselves. I can't think of a better image to associate with ice cream than a happy, comforting smiley face.
Thank you.
