SpiderMouse

When the body is grasped and moved in the horizontal plane, the mechanically-linked legs move in that direction. When not in immediate use, the spidermouse can dance or simply stare malevolently at the cat. Though the battery is charged by the operator's movement, it can also scuttle back to the recharging web if the battery gets too low.

Apart from the obvious aesthetics, the spidermouse can be used on any surface regardless of shape or texture (with the exception of a surface covered in oil in which case you have more pressing problems)
