Basically, this would be a small metal badge, about 3/4 of an inch
across, maybe printed with a logo or a choice of design. From the
outside, it would look just like an ordinary badge. Take it off,
however, and aswell as the pin there is a lockpick, penknife, chisel,
tweezers and a small thing
for getting the stones out of horses
hooves. All these devices would fold out, and some, such as the
chisel could also be telescopic.

I've had Victorinox knives, penlights, moneyclips, and wristwatches and Swiss Army luggage. Why not badges and brooches? Victorinox, are you listening? |

Actually, though, I probably would be less inclined to wear one of these badges than a cell-phone holster. Why not consider a Swiss Army phone holster? Bonus points if you figure out how to make it TSA compliant. |

//Why not consider a Swiss Army phone holster?// |
|

Because I don't own a phone, but do wear lots of badges |
|

//small thing for getting the stones out of horses hooves// - called a 'hoof pick', apparently. |
|
| |
It's a constant amusement to me that pocket knife makers insist on putting hoof picks om kmives. Not too many people ride horses these days. |

In soviet russia, horse rides you. |

As far as I can tell only one model (The Equestrian) has a hoof
pick. A bottle opener, an awl punch, a can opener are often
present, and have a similar general shape. Regardless, a
strong thin metal piece useful for prying and digging into
grooves can still come in handy. |

I always assumed it was a leather punch. |
|
| |
That would be an awl. Different thing. |

could have a detatchable needle (with short, replaceable
piece of thread also) - the thing that carries the badge might
need to be mended |
|
| |
//the chisel could also be telescopic// Bun for this alone!
//Yes, a badge (UK) is a button (US/Can).// But "I wear it as a button of honour" doesn't have quite the same ring. |

//"I wear it as a button of honour" doesn't have quite the
same ring// I dunno.... could get quite humourous |
