You approached the faucets. Your sleeves were rolled. You took hold of the cold faucet; your other hand held the hot. You turned on the cold. Too cold. Then, added some hot. You had overcompensated, and made it too hot. "Do I turn up the cold, or turn down the hot?" "Faucet!" You screamed, and ran from the bathroom. Your tears, a perfect temperature, ran down your cheeks.

If you had the Tap Tepidiator that would never have happened. The Tap Tepidiator can be retrofitted to any standard bathroom faucet. It is a simple mechanical device that connects the cold and hot water faucets together so that by turning one, you turn them both.

Designed by a locomotive engineer, the Tap Tepidiator can be set to mix the perfect ratio of hot and cold water. When you turn the cold tap, a crank that is fixed to it will turn a crank that is fixed to the hot tap. The intersection of the cranks is adjustable and determines the hot to cold ratio.

Set the ratio that is right for you, and run your tap water at perfect hand washing temperature every time.

Annotation:

In many houses it takes a few seconds for the hot water to circulate, meaning this would require a dynamic ratio. Most likely, two temperature sensors could be used and could carbeurate the waters. Bun, but I dispute its usefulness.
Also, very similar to the "Tepid Tap"

Thanks [roleohibachi]. I didn't see those; I found the category afterwards. But I'm comfortable that this idea is original.

Just move here [rcarty], the temperature of the 'cold' water' tap water today is 34C / 93F. (Brisbane, Australia)

I've used a campsite kitchen with a warm water handwash station. It has only one (elbow operated) tap, but is plumbed in to hot and cold water, with a mixer underneath. No cranks though, so +

Bun for a nice idea with very satisfyingly Victorian implementation.
