Rather than a megavolt discharge that incapacitates, denudes, and sets assailants afire, I'd carry a lower powered version of the stun weapon that could effectively draw a transgressor's attention to the fact that I feel my space was invaded without leaving an oozing red welt.
Great for "hands off",
"time out", or "that's the last one of those in that color" signaling.
