Tethered to the ceiling Ornithopters for People

Suspended by a wire from a long pole or a crane , is an ornithopter suit. You climb in, take a quick run up then launch yourself forwards. after a minute of flapping you are circling the pole or crane, gradually picking up speed and height.

It works exactly like the toys you can buy in a toyshop, only much larger and human powered. You could cheat and use a propeller and bicycle style gears but the purist would want to flap.

The closest thing to being a bird you'll get without going to a huge hyperbaric lavatube on the moon!

There is a motorized version of this (the propeller version anyway) but I couldn't find it on the web.
