One of the most horrifying movies ever made, based on a true story (I think) is now coming to you as an ice skating theatrical.
Viewer disgression advised Urban Legends
http://www.snopes.c.../films/chainsaw.asp More like "inspired by" than "based upon" - no chainsaws in the original. [DrCurry, Feb 27 2005]

Viewer digression, maybe? |
| |
Never saw the remake of the movie, but the original was scary/great! "C'mon kids, put on your Sunday best, we're going to the Ice Capades--they're performing 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'!" |
| |
I'd rather see Evil Dead 2 on ice. |
| |
I would pay good money to see a skater do a triple flip with a chainsaw. |
| |
No chain saws, no horrifying carbon monoxide fumes. |
| |
Careful with that chainsaw on the Ice... :P |
| |
Bloody Ice skatings dangerous enough without adding chainsaws to the mix. Nearly dislocated my arse last time I went. |
| |
Didn't the creator of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'claim that he was in a hardware store, there were tonnes of people there, he looked up, and - voila! Chainsaw! 'I bet if I had one of those I could get out very easily...' He thought menacingly to himself... |
| |
The original owner of the ice rink wasn't very open minded to the idea... Then he suddenly disappeared. I suppose the new owners are a lot more clear-headed to this masterpeice... (ie, they decided that you can't win an argument with someone who has a chainsaw. Can't imagine why!) |
| |
Will this have real blood? |
| |
<Doctor approaches etherman who is lying prone on a hospital bed> "Well Mr. Etherman, you appear to have a dislocated arse. Nothing to worry about, we'll just have Nurse Sadist pop it back in for you and you'll be right as rain in no time." |
| |
And me, my arse and the Nursie lived Happily Ever After. |
| |
Igors would certainly help (From the Discworld books) |
| |
Even better- "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Musical On Ice" |
| |
can they do ice sculptures live? |
| |
The simple thought of ice skaters in pain is wonderful. [+] |
| |
Carcer (from another Discworld novel) would make a great chainsaw murderer. |
| |
Ahhh. Night Watch. 1st Terry Pratchett book I ever read. |
| |
"Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Ice, on Ice" - Communicating, through the medium of ice dancing, the idea of performing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre as an ice dancing spectacle. |
| |
Darkboy115: Most skaters (and athletes in general) spend their lives in pain already.. |
| |
How about having it as a floorshow in a
Greek restaurant. Texas chainsaw
moussaka. |
| |
I was thinking of the possibilities of a musical. Very amusing. :) |
| |
Little Woodshop of Horrors. |
| |
I thought they called this 'Hockey.' |
| |
This could possibly replace the NHL. |
| |
"Halloween on Ice", with horror themes, has been done (see link). May have featured death spirals and death drops. |
| |
Now seen on TV in segments. |
| |
I understand blood can bounce on ice. Not a hockey fan. I have never seen it. A google of the term found many hits, but no explanation of what might be involved. But if this is true, clearly it would be an integral part of this production. |
