The phrase 'crumpled heap' comes to mind.

I am a shadow casting person on the street, my shadow is no longer or wider than yours.

I do a job just like the rest of you. My story is not unique.

While shines the sun, that is. In the moonlight, my shadow falls unaturally long, unaturally large. I'm the Waxman.

And you're working for no one but me.

The shoulders you used as rungs on your ladder came at a price, you should have known.

I've come for you, it's plain to see.

Insubstantial statue you will be.

I'm the Waxman!

Does your likeness appear too small?

Be thankfull you're not a kiddie doll...

Waxman!

And your import is stolen and fleet.

I need no magic gun to turn you to a wax figurine, labeled for the future to be bored with who you are!

You should have known!

And you're working for no one but me!

Thought I Was Having a Flashback! [Grogster, Aug 08 2010]

       Beatles "Taxman" parody? [link]

(Here's Grog, utterly failing to see the point... Oh, wait, maybe that's the point?)

Imagine a guy, upon hearing a joke or something universally accepted as funny, and he's the only guy standing in the room not ROTFLHAO, but rather, furiously going back over it in his mind to check for the clever bits. Maybe that is exactly the sensation that people with Alzheimer's experience; how creepy...

No matter. Thanks, [Zimmy] for reminding me of one of my favorites. Dang! Maybe that was the point! Or not. [ ]

       Grog - no worries!

Something that day really got my goat & I thought I'd be smart switching around death with taxes.

If anyone thinks they can run w/ this, please do.

Lastly, one of the parts in the linked lyrics is wrong.

It's curl the pennies in your eyes.

You bend them so they are useless. That's what I heard.

After a couple of listens I'm going with "declare the" although I like your alternate.

I think I know who this was about. This was rage venting about a coworker - Wow! I've not had to deal with them again.
