Like guitar hero... but using a wii remotes' elevation and tilt to mimic a theramin.

Theremin hero http://hackaday.com...with-theremin-hero/
or use an actual theremin. [tatterdemalion, Aug 28 2012]

Eerie, spooky alien sounds. Does the Borg cube sound like this? [whatrock, Oct 22 2020]

I'm appalled that this does not yet exist.

       Tesla Coil Hero, anyone?

       Awesome.

I can see a time when the theramin replaces the vuvuzela as the annoyance of choice at soccer tournaments... [+]

I was just reading 2 minutes ago how Neil Armstrong took a tape of theremin music to the moon.
pocmloc, Aug 28 2012

The theremin is unique among musical instruments in that it is impossible to have an 'air' version of it (like "air guitar").
hippo, Aug 28 2012

Wrong! Wave your hands in front of you whilst saying "wooo-aooo". Instant air-theremin.
pocmloc, Aug 28 2012

[hippo] - That is not quite true. The grossly self-indulgent Jean Michel-Jarre had a keyboard that was operated by breaking a light/laser beam around him. I think he playd it when he 'Played Houston1. I mean who plays an entire city for gawd's sake!?

       + too cool!!
xandram, Aug 28 2012

pocmloc, your source is obviously wrong. Neil Armstrong hasn't been to the moon in decades, let alone minutes ago.
RayfordSteele, Apr 21 2016

You know, I'd actually like it the other way around, play wii games with a theremin.

Now, that would be interesting - and possible. Sensing limb position by unstable near-field oscillators is practical, and in fact probably easier than image recognition technology like Kinect™ <Gargle, spit/>

Tempting. Free parking, cookie of the month club, a Swiss army knife on my left hand, and access to large, black big- bore weaponry.

Hmm... does the Cube also have a backhoe?
