Tie-Suspender

Tie that keeps your trousers up

Men with fat overhanging bellies are constantly pulling up the front of their trousers, or engaging in fruitless belt tightening antics. What is needed is a new type of support, to discreetly pull the trousers upwards directly at the front.

Enter the Tie-Suspender. This is an otherwise conventional tie, but with the added bonus of a single adjustable suspender strap hidden on its back. When dressing, the more portly gentleman puts on his tie, then snaps the concealed suspender unto the front of his trousers. From now on, when the trousers begin to slip, he simply adjusts his neck and upper tie knot, diverting attention from his nether regions, but simultaneously pulling up his pants.

the trousers might be up in the front and still manage to be revealing a builders' bum at the back.

I'd be interested in the logistics of this.

I would be afraid of the associated wedgie-risk.
hubby2debbie, Jan 22 2006

I would not worry about the associated wedgie risk as much as I would worry about the dowagers hump. Nonetheless you have my "+"

I like the idea in general, but it needs to be developed further. This needs to be an addon to existing ties, there are *a lot* of different tie designs, it's not feasible to produce a TS version of each.

Really this is a front suspender, which is concealed by a tie.

       >discretely pull the trousers upwards <

       discretely : separately
discreetly : covertly, with little attention paid

       I assume you mean "discreetly."

Possibly also useful as Dilbert tie tie-down. +

you assume correctly and appropriately csea.....well spotted + for your next idea, no matter what it is, and you can pick up a tie on the way out.

Cool; I'd start wearing ties again!

Maybe more than one at a time, even.
phundug, Jan 24 2006

We advise wearers of the tie-suspender to refrain from storing heavy items in the trouser pockets as this can lead to strangulation. +
