Put power turbines in children's pinwheels. Don't let them waste their breath blowing them around. Charges up AA batteries for use in other things, like the TV remote control.

       Yes, and perhaps equip sparrows with dynamos in the back gardens of those residential areas, with bird food containers that conduct the stored energy in their little backpacks and charge up an electric lawnmower. We must continue to think "outside the box".

       The selection wheels on the front of iPods could also be turbined to produce energy for, say, an electric trowel. That way you can listen to music whilst harvesting your potato energy.
