Troll Feeder
code analyzes conversations and identifies trolls. It then feeds them to death. | |
Once it identifies a troll, the program registers 5 fake user id's (noobs), and enlists 5 pre-existing member ids set aside for this purpose.
From here, any thing could happen. 1)The fake IDs could just take statements from the trolls posts, quote them and follow it with different forms of "I
agree", "he's right" "amen". 2)They could quote the troll and then say how outrageous it is, and how offended they are. 3)A Socratic attack. This one is harder to do. They will take whatever the troll is talking about and ask very nitpickey questions about it, forcing the troll to waste his time trying to find the answers.

There's a message board on IMDB where something like this seems to be happening. I can't link to it because you can't see it without registering, but if you do happen to have access, it's on 'The Secret' message board. There seem to be a lot of formulaic responses to posts with repetitive text and many of the users seem to be sock puppets. I really hope this is what's going on there, because if it isn't, someone really has no life. |

Feeding them will only encourage them. Let them starve on silence. (-) |

Obviously, the silent treatment has not worked. The trolls have proliferated in recent years. They just become someone else's problem. |

Ithink a burst of attention will get the troll to open up. Then they can suddenly drop him. |
