The beginning of the Tunic Wars can be traced to a manufacturer of
cardigans who got the idea of lengthening them to reach the knees
(roughly). The competitor, who specialized in producing rompers,
strongly
objected
to this invasion of their market, and created the
advertising slogan of "Cardigan delenda est!"
