I'm always annoyed when I'm laying on my bed, using my laptop or reading a book and the pillows slip and my head hits the wall.
I've never really liked pillows, they're an incomplete solution to a simple problem.
The problem? Walls are hard. They aren't fun to rest your head against. The not-so-obvious
but oh-so-halfbaked solution: wall softener.
It doesn't matter how its done, what matters is that by some chemical, organism, or process, your bog standard wood wall is softened a little to make it more comfortable for your head without the bulge of pillows or the hassle of cutting a hole in the wall to install some kind of comfort invention.
Walls have to be hard to support the house, but not all the way through, a small section could be softened and the structure would still be strong enough. Padded Headboard

How would you get your head past the headboard in order to rest it on the softened wall? |
|
| |
Try pounding the wall with a meat tenderizer then soak it with hot water, that ought to soften it up. |
|
| |
I don't have a headboard. And it could work as headboard softener as well. |
|
| |
attach a pillow to the wall with tacks. |

funnily enough, I bought a new higher headboard this week for this very reason - well, actually because the wall was doing my hair no favours and my hair was doing the paint no favours. I was going to post a beanbag headboard for comfort sake... |

There's a padded-room comment in there somewhere. |

They don't make padded headboards in your country? I sense a sales opportunity! |
|
| |
Now, "your bog standard wood wall" - that would be, um, Thailand? |
|
| |
I too was wondering where wooden walls are bog standard. |

bit short of being an idea, then? |

wouldnt a pillow hat be more useful - you
could take it places aswell |
|
| |
you could just have padded walls like a sanatarium |
