I took a second look at the bicycle. The back wheel was big, too big... way too big. It must have been a good foot wide.
Then I realised there was a clear panel where there should have been spokes. Behind the clear panel I could see a couple of white shirts and what looked like a towel.
This
was actually a front-loading washing machine, inside a bicycle wheel. The extra wide rear tyre made the bike more stable and your wash got done during the commute to work.
I guessed the clothes could soak all day and then the spin cycle would come on the way home.

This idea is significantly novel, insofar as the device forms the wheel assembly, and does not require fitment and removal, as does that invention. I thought of adding a level of complexity, by running an eccentric gear to agitate the inner assembly back and forth, but the effect on a cycle would be far too destabilising. |
