Waterproof Book Bubble

Read in the bath, in the shower, or in a typhoon

Sometimes a book is too good to put down. With the Book Bubble, basic hygiene or monsoons won't get in the way of a reading session (or lead to a waterlogged tome).

The Book Bubble is a crystal-clear soft plastic cube that can hold a book inside. The bubble is waterproof once sealed. What makes it special are the thin plastic gloves inset into the cube, much like the "gloves set into a protective wall used to manipulate dangerous materials" (seen in episodes of The Simpsons, etc.)

The bathing reader can insert his hands (no matter how wet) into the gloves, handle, and read the book, while the book remains dry within its enclosure.

       Great for the pool, also.

       How about a bookmark?

Good idea, but wouldn't a water-proof plastic bag do the job just as well and be easier to store?

Nice one, welcome to the bakery. (WTAGIPBAN)

[DrC] I tried it, but the plain Ziplock won't stay closed when you fumble with the pages. Also the plastic is slippery which makes it hard to turn pages. It gets easier if you put an advertising booger (the adhesive they use to stick reader response cards into magazines) into the bag, but you will still tear a few pages.

Just stumbled across an older idea that this one might be redundant with. See link. The main difference is the page turning mechanism (gloves versus magnets).
