Espresso coffee, Italian sportscars, leathergoods, fancy pasta, tasty pizza, tiny adult soft drinks, classy homewares, ricotta cheese... Let's face it, we all love all things Italian.

Now, so you can exude that "Italian ring of confidence" of which we are so desirous, we bring you the Dolce Vita Gum range. Similar to Jelly Belly jelly beans, the Dolce Vita gums are the perfect answer to your pizza cravings.

Crafted to secret recipes, passed from generation to generation, guarded closely by a family of serious mountain folk in the Modena, Parma and Reggio Emilia area of Italy, this gum is not recognised yet by the Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano, because it is not yet produced in viable commercial quantities.

Selected distributors will soon be advertising of availability of the following flavors, rounding out the range:
Pompodoro,
Mozzarella,
Oregano,
Basil,
Garlic,
Olives,
Mushrooms,
Artichokes,
Wholewheat,
Panini,
EV Olive Oil,
Beef,
Chicken,
Vongole,
Anchovy,
Melanzane,
Cabanossi,
Lambrusco and Chianti, for those who like a nice Italian red with their dinner.

Buon appetito!

[Conceals disappointment upon realising it was actually a "guM"]

I'm not so sure about the taste...

       That is just grotesque.
whatastrangeperson, Apr 06 2004

Grotesque would be a computer that guts itself at the push of a button.
UnaBubba, Apr 06 2004

I'll wait for the amchur flavor.
bristolz, Apr 06 2004

Croissant for anything promoting a more frequent use of Parmesan Cheese (unless it's a deodorant, or a parfume, or... well, you know what I mean).
Pericles, Apr 06 2004

[bristolz], Amchoor is particularly good in curried fish dishes. Truly a delightful spice. I am surprised you know of it.

I don't know how it would go with parmesan, either.
UnaBubba, Apr 07 2004

       Rucola leaf, Garpaccio, Limoncino, Sangiovese...
Frostybeard, Apr 07 2004

       Nasty. You'd get cheese breath.

Let's face it. This is disgusting.

       "Mix Your Own Pizza" gum?

I guess it would be popular with cops.
UnaBubba, May 05 2004

Thank you, [foolserrand]. Amended. Now you can chew up a Capricciosa, in moments:
Pompodoro, olives, mushrooms, artichokes, mozzarella and olive oil.
