"NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!" Number Nine Tone On Cell Dial Button

Because that would be funny.

I'm hoping this is the first post regarding Hitler where everybody is nice to each other.

I also hope to find a million dollars under my pillow someday.

Addendumb: This would also be pretty sweet for automatic messages.

"The number you have reached: 467-8 NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! is currently engaged with another customer. The current wait to talk to an operator is twenty NEIN! minutes."

Calling the emergency services would result in traumatic flashbacks for those that flew in lancasters, halifaxes and stirlings.
Ian Tindale, Jun 06 2017

Hey, I didn't say it would be a GOOD idea.

But I think those guys were pretty tough. Probably take more than somebody making fun of Hitler to traumatize them.

And the Hitler saying "NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!" and banging his fist on the table is a modern construction. I don't know if he ever really did that. Wouldn't be surprised if he did, but I don't know if there's any record of that. It was a pretty creative guy who created this characterization. Check out the interview. Interesting.

One of the reasons it's so difficult to take Germans seriously is that their word for "five" is "fünf". I mean, it's just silly. All the other German digits sound like military instructions.

This "idea" was inspired by the fact that after seeing that scene, I can't see or type the number 999 without picturing that actor banging on the table and yelling it.

Try it. Watch the scene one time and you'll see how many times in your life you come across the number 999. It's usually about once a month.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one with this affliction.

But in counterpoint, they also have lots of 'zex.'

       //It's usually about once a month. //

In the UK, 999 is still the emergency number along with newer other variants.

The German language and culture, and Rammstein all have their strengths.

This is not an idea. Enjoy and translate the [link] at your own leisure.

Oh well. There's still the chance I find that million dollars under my pillow.

Perfect. A little levity in a time or crisis.
