Similar to the random button on the Halfbakery, clicking this would make a random website appear. Typing a search term in first would only open pages that would appear in the search, or clicking on 'images' would only make pictures appear. This could be used for wasting time, but also could enable people to discover websites like the Halfbakery.

A firefox add-on, people collectively tag sites they do or don't like, and a single click of the "Stumble!" button sends you to something pertinent to your preferences [fridge duck, Feb 15 2009]

Isn't this the "I'm feeling lucky" button?

Similar things do exist. Putting it on Google is a new idea, but i'm not sure because there are a lot of things that could be on Google other than what's on their home page, and i don't know about priorities.
The other thing is, i've never been sure how much publicity people on here actually want.

Hm... you have a point there, nineteenthly... I'd hate it if the HB got really crowded.
up_on_cloud_nine, Feb 16 2009

Ha! The 'bakery got crowded a long time ago. Link added so that you can see what it used to be like back in the days when it was powered by a watermill, and ducks floated around quacking on the mill pond and Queen Victoria ruled benignly over a glorious empire and the weather was always pleasant and the nights always starry and there were no taxes or even any bad people in the world.

       ...and then the autoboner arrived.
blissmiss, Feb 16 2009

[-] not autoboning... what's the make-up of the Internet ? porn, scam-sites, search-sites and spam.

       Maybe it's Maybelline!

This idea feels... I dunno. A little random. -

The random button here started as an idea...
Spacecoyote, Feb 16 2009

Most results would be entries in dictionaries, ZIP code lookups, or telephone directories.
